We do have somewhat strict (or so I have been told) admission qualifications. But we also offer much more than just a mailing list. Our member's only area of the web site has tutorials, special deals from merchants that are just for our list members, links to our "finds" over the 7 years we were a yahoogroup, classifieds, and the only way you can be listed in the designer directory is by being a member in good standing on the list for 6 months.
We have these qualification rules so that we can insure the integrity of our membership.
First you should understand that we do not approve all who apply to join this mailing list. It is a subjective decision, so do not take it personally if not approved. It is for women only. It's not that we don't like men, but our long time experience is that women can work better and thrive in a male-free environment. We are all about supporting women in their business as web designers/developers. You guys are great, and you can join a mixed list such as web weavers.
We are for women web designers who are in business as professional web site designers, owning their own web design business, and require that you have a web design business web site, hosted on a domain account, (no freeservers,) and it must be a web site design business, not just a part of another business.
You are not a:
- VA (virtual assistant)
- templatemaker
- linkwaremaker
- student
- teacher
- hosting company
- company or school/university webmaster
- IT professional
- webmaster for a company
- marketer
- hobbyist
- woman's network owner.
Please use the form below to submit your business site and other information.
- You must have a web design business web site, with it's own domain.
- You must show on that web site, a portfolio of web sites created for clients (more than four, not family members or yourself) which is linked to their business domain web site, to be considered for the list.
- Your full name must appear on your business web site.
- You agree to the principles of No-Spec.com
There are NO exceptions to these four qualification rules.
